Company Overview

Audubon’s source of supply is obtained from several wells dispersed throughout the Company’s territory. The depths range from 200 ft to 500 ft. Wells 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 13, 14, and 15 in Audubon and Wells 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Valley Forge Corporate Center provide more than a million gallons of water per day. The Company has an interconnection for emergency use with Pennsylvania American Water Company. Audubon also has three wells that serve the Valley Forge Crossing system.

 

The distribution system consists of five steel water storage tanks, which hold a combined total of 1,538,000 gallons of water. The transmission system includes 1,020 feet of 4 inch mains, 87,973 feet of 6 inch mains, 89,407 feet of 8 inch mains, 6,090 feet of 10 inch mains and 7,555 of 12 inch mains, for a total of 192,045 feet of water main.

 

Construction of new facilities is planned and implemented based on the overall recommendation of the Company’s consulting engineers. Preventive maintenance programs as well as repairs are done on an ongoing basis by Company employees and outside contractors in order to provide safe, reliable, and adequate service to Audubon’s customer.
